Una volta ristretta la ricerca alla linguistica, l’interrogazione restituisce solo 5 pubblicazioni, “a funny result for the most influential linguist in the world”.
4. Universities should have sufficient financial and political independence to act on the recommendations of visiting committees – otherwise you might as well forget about evaluation altogether.
6. Self-evaluations constitute a good starting point for any evaluation procedure.
7. (Biblio-)metric tools can be very useful in the evaluation process, but only in the hands of experienced and intelligent evaluators (see also the presentation by Henk Moed).
